攝影師Carol Golemboski不是將鏡頭對準外邊的世界,而是對準自己的內心。Golemboski在跳蚤市場搜羅各種有象徵性的充滿感情的舊物,它們有不為人知的歷史。Golemboski然後將這些老舊的、被拋棄的物品工工整整地拍攝下來,通過暗房技術將拍攝的照片抽象化,在底片上大範圍地刮擦,製作圖形,抹上斑點,甚至文字,使原始的照片獲得離奇的視覺。畫面更能展示心理的場景,而不是傳統攝影的空間描寫。“一旦物品被拍攝下來,它們就形成一種視覺語言,暗示了曾經圍繞著它們的生命。我像一個心靈占卜者,我收集這些失去光澤的、衰老的東西,評估它們,為它們的過去給出一種解讀,這種解讀不一定準確,只是我個人的一種建議。” Golemboski如是說。
Golemboski在照片中注入張力和神秘的氣息。當我看到這些充滿心理暗示的作品時,我感受到的是詭異與不安。黑白的色調強化了作品的魔力,我仿佛走進了那隱秘的內心世界,在某些情節上,竟會不期然引起共鳴,有種被看穿的惶恐。我一直在強調的攝影作品的靈魂,也就是如此吧……
