在我们看的时候,"无意中"会过滤掉一些东西,一些潜意识里不想看到的画面,我们会选择性盲目。英国摄影艺术家保罗·格拉汉姆|Paul Graham (1956年-今)以一系列过曝刺目似乎模糊不清的《美国之夜》提醒我们这些似乎什么都没有的景象正犹如光芒里面的阴影,只要我们认真去看,里面大有玄机。
《美国之夜》关心的是当代美国社会阶层的断裂,明亮与黑暗,破烂的郊区与色彩明亮细节丰富的中产区域,黑人与白人,心理上的可见与不可见。
